This community is dedicated to promoting and protecting the human rights of people with disabilities by:

1. Increasing general awareness of disability as a human rights issue;
2. Building the capacity of grassroots disability organizations to protect and promote fundamental human rights;
3. Promoting and participating in efforts to develop human rights protections under national and international law; and
   
4. Monitoring international compliance with stated commitments.

This website provides a place for members and supporters of the disability community to share information and experiences, develop and pursue partnerships and provide mutual support in pursuit of these objectives. This community is committed to the creation of an environment of total inclusion and participation, where the opinions and contributions of all persons are welcomed and valued.
